After growing up in Dallas, Texas, and desiring a change of scenery, Athen ventured to Oklahoma State University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a Major in Marketing and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. During her time at school, Athen held multiple positions in her sorority and discovered one of her many passions: mentoring others and helping them become the most successful versions of themselves. Post-graduation, Athen decided to put down roots in Oklahoma City and worked in Hospitality and Sales in the Wine Industry for three years. As a Sales Consultant and statewide Grocery Division Key Accountant Manager, she acquired invaluable skills such as providing superior customer service, fostering client appreciation, and serving as a trusted market consultant to her stores. Athen has also earned distinctions as a Certified Specialist of Wine and a Level I Certified Sommelier. Through the pursuit of these certifications, Athen recognizes the value of expertise in one's field and the importance of continuous learning.
Athen is deeply engaged in her community, currently serving as the chapter advisor for her sorority at OSU, holding the position of Social VP for her Alumnae chapter in OKC, and dedicating her time as a Coach with Girls on the Run. She has earned the honor of OKC Woman of the Year, received nominations for Best of the 405 Magazine in Real Estate, been recognized as one of the top 500 producers in OKC by Real Producer for four consecutive years, and held the title of #1 Real Estate Agent on Social Media for three years in a row. Additionally, Athen presently serves on the board of directors for her brokerage as a member of the Agent Leadership Council.
